A&A and Compliance Senior Manager

Gemma joined Mercia in January 2021, from Buzzacott, where she was a Senior Audit Manager in the Charity Team for four years. Prior to joining Buzzacott, she worked for seven years in the Charities Team at Crowe UK and started her career in audit at Deloitte in St Albans.

During her time in practice, Gemma worked on a broad range of not-for-for profit clients, including national charities, academy trusts, further education colleges, theatres, museums, religious orders, service provider charities and those working in international development.

Gemma has a keen interest in academies and sits on ESFA Academies Working Group 3, the Academy Auditors Forum, and the Academies Accounts Direction Sub-Group.

Outside of work, Gemma enjoys travelling, cooking and watching cricket.
