SRA Accounts Rules Workshop

The SRA Accounts Rules 2011 require reporting accountants to undertake a risk focused check on solicitors' compliance with the Rules.

It is common for firms to have only a small number of these assignments so a refresher on a regular basis is likely to be of benefit to staff undertaking these assignments.

Content:

The course is predominantly case study based and will cover the 'life-cycle' of an SRA Accounts Rules assignment from planning issues to completion and reporting. Case studies will be interspersed with formal lecturing to ensure a thorough refresher of the regulations.

The course is aimed at those who undertake the work required to report to the SRA on compliance with the 2011 SRA Accounts Rules. Whilst the Rules are due to change in 2019 to become more principles-based this is unlikely to impact on the approach taken by the accountant, so the concepts addressed on this course will still be valid.

The course is not designed for those seeking an update on recent changes who would derive more benefit from attending the SRA Accounts Rules Update.

The course is not suitable for people with no prior experience of SRA Accounts Rules as a basic level of awareness is required. Those seeking an introduction to the Rules are advised to attend An Introduction to the SRA Accounts Rules course.
